About The Hill

About us

The Hill Preparatory School

The Hill Preparatory School is a Christian, co-educational, and multi-racial day school made up of the ECD department (Nursery, ECD A, and ECD B) and the Junior School Department (Grades 1-6).

A variety of clubs are offered to pupils in the afternoon as well as several sporting options. Sporting facilities include two multi-purpose courts for tennis, basketball, and netball. There is an eight-lane swimming pool as well as a beginners’ pool where children from Nursery level learn to swim. In addition, we have a multi-purpose playing field.

Students and staff are also involved in regular educational trips and social responsibility is encouraged through organised community engagement activities and partnerships. The school provides lunches on request and a school bus service is in operation.

In line with our school motto “Frui Somnium Doctrina,” we aim to cultivate a love of learning and a good work ethic in our children.  By so doing we ensure they reach their full learning potential and are equipped with the skills necessary to prepare them for higher learning and a meaningful contribution to society.

We believe in working together as a family and acknowledge that the overall future success of the school is the total of the individual successes of our children, staff, parent body, and community.

Please feel free to make an appointment for a short tour of our school. We hope that you will decide to become a part of our family.

We will model and promote in our children a work ethic that values responsibility, respect, compassion, attendance, punctuality, preparedness and participation inside and outside the classroom.

We will continually monitor our children’s progress by regularly checking their grades through their teacher.

We will proactively communicate to teachers and administrators any concerns or needs to guarantee our children’s success.

We will encourage our children to be involved in all school activities, both inside and outside the classroom, and we will support these activities by volunteering time and/or providing financial support for such activities and will attend all parent-oriented school functions.

We will stay informed of school activities by reading school newsletters and accessing electronic communications.
